Transition selects staff from graduates and alumni of its in-group registered training organisation, Short Courses Australia - RTO 41261

Short Courses Australia is a leading provider of Health, Hospitality, Services and Construction compliance and skill set courses in Victoria and NSW, with multiple training centres.

Short Courses Australia also delivers JOB CAMP, which provides 6,000 secondary school students annually with access to vocational training, whilst still in school.

Graduates and alumni of Short Courses Australia are offered pathways to employment with Transition and, if your child is successful then they are employed by Transition and employed under a Traineeship or Apprenticeship.

As a Transition staff member, your child is paid to train and paid to work and supported through the recruitment, training, workplace orientation and then mentored by their assigned Transition Talent Officer in the workplace.

Our priority is to support your child to maintain employment in a safe work environment

Transition staff, your child, each complete a Certificate III qualification via a Traineeship or Apprenticeship. and are coached and supported by our Transition Pathways Team members.

The training component for the Certificate III qualifications is completed in the workplace, whereby the RTO or TAFE trainer and assessor visits the workplace and completes on a one to basis units of competence comprising the enrolled qualification.

Upon completion of the Traineeship or Apprenticeship, the host employer can employ your child directly..

An Australian Apprenticeship can provide your child with both practical skills and a formal education that many businesses value - it's a wonderful way to earn while learning!

Traineeships & Apprenticeships

An Australian apprenticeship (also known as a traineeship) combines paid on-the-job training with formal study to produce a nationally recognised certificate.

Apprenticeships and traineeships are available in over 500 jobs across Australia, spanning from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma levels, and include conventional trades as well as a variety of new vocations in almost every area of business and industry.

An apprenticeship is a formal training programme that typically lasts 3.5 to 4 years. Your son or daughter will need to obtain a job with an employer before beginning an apprenticeship. This is where we come in. Through Transition's extensive network of business contacts, we will aim to match the most appropriate workplace with your son or daughter’s career aspiration. The training combines on-the-job training provided by a Transtion Pathways Training Australia - RTO 41261 or another local RTO or TAFE with practical experience at work under the supervision of a competent employer.

Apprentices get a nationally recognised certification as well as valuable on-the-job skills upon successful completion. This usually leads to a full-time job in a field they like.

A traineeship is a training agreement between the trainee and their individual employer in which the trainee works and learns while the employer agrees to teach the trainee in a particular industry.

Traineeships are offered for individuals of all ages and may last anywhere from 9 to 24 months, depending on the profession and degree of certification pursued.
